Me & My Girl has its roots firmly grounded in the 1930’s but was updated in the 1980’s by comedy genius Stephen Fry. The show enjoyed an eight year run in the West End originally starring ROBERT LINDSAY and EMMA THOMPSON as Bill Snibson and Sally Smith – the two cockney sweethearts whose lives are turned upside-down with the news that Bill is, in fact, the 14th Earl of Hareford and worth £100,000 a year – which, for the 1930’s, is a huge fortune. This revival won two prestigious Olivier Awards including Best Musical and Best Actor for Robert Lindsay. The show enjoyed a three year run on Broadway and was nominated for thirteen Tony Awards winning three for Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Choreography.
